Pray: Your Life Depends On It

02/09/16

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

It’s like God has the blueprints for your life: you have to authorise them.

2 Corinthians 4:4 (KJV) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

“For some reason, Satan seems to have legal control over the nations of this earth. Before God can intervene in the affairs of men, He has to be invited by a legitimate citizen of this world.

You and I are legitimate members of the world community. If the Lord gets involved without a legal invitation, Satan can accuse Him of the crime of illegal takeovers, such as happened with Iraq and Kuwait.
God is waiting for our invitation through prayer.

Excerpt From: Dag Heward-Mills. “Strategies for Prayer.”
When you don’t pray, you allow the devil to have control over your life. You may be close to where God wants you to be, or to what God wants you to have; you may even have it in your hands. But the moment you stop praying, you are subject to Satan. He comes to steal what you have. He comes to make sure that anything and everything happens to prevent you from where God wants you to be, you find yourself derailing from the will of God, from the path in which he wants you to be walking in. And when he does this, you won’t even notice it, you think that that’s how life should be, meanwhile the devil is in fact running away with what is supposed to be yours. And the sad thing is, you’re just standing there and you can’t do anything because you are spiritually blind. And when this happens, it seems so normal. It seems as though that’s how life should be. Satan is a liar. You can be walking in the imperfect will of God whilst thinking, even very convinced, that you’re in the perfect will of God. Mercy
“If you do not pray, your life will be governed and controlled by the will of men. Do you want your life to follow the will of God or the will of man?  The disloyalties, fears, jealousies, greed and hatred of men will unravel your nice plans for life and bring you to a place you never planned to be.

Give yourself over to the will of God through prayer.  Pray until God’s will is done.”

Excerpt From: Dag Heward-Mills. “HOW TO PRAY.”

Proverbs 16:3 (NIV) Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.

You have to commit things in God’s hands. Place your life in his hands. Otherwise Satan can mess up your plans (God’s plans) in your life. You need to say “God I commit my life into your hands. Please let YOUR will be done” and because you know that God’s plans for you are for good and not of evil, then you are in safe hands. When your life is not in God’s hands, you are very subject to Satan. You have to give God your life, you have to give God your plans.

God is waiting for your prayers. Pray about everything because God cares about everything in your life.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV) Pray without ceasing.

Romans 12:12 (KJV) Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

Philippians 4:6 (NIV) Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Let’s Pray: Heavenly Father, thank you for your powerful word. Thank you that when we call you hear us. Thank you that we can commit our lives and plans to you and we know that we are safe in your arms. Lord please help us, help us to always be in prayer. Help us to always pray about everything. Help us to understand your word O Lord. Please help every single person who reads this to pray to you, and never feel ashamed to come before you, for you said “come as you are”. Thank you Lord, In Jesus’ name, Amen.
